The Floating Truth creates immersive works where music, beauty, and disquiet collide.
Not to provide answers.
But to leave us with the strange possibility that the world we thought we knew has quietly become larger than we imagined.
OVERVIEW
The Floating Truth is an immersive art-rock project created by psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, novelist, visual artist, and musician David Salvage.
Rooted in New York City's late-1970s underground music scene and shaped by a lifetime of artistic, literary, visual, and psychological exploration, The Floating Truth creates complete artistic worlds in which music, imagery, film, symbolism, and narrative converge into a singular experience.
THE BELIEF
Some works comfort us. Others disturb us. The Floating Truth has always been drawn to the place where beauty and disquiet refuse to separate—where image, lyric, and sound arrive together, not to explain the world but to loosen its certainties. What remains after that collision is not an answer. It is the strange possibility that the world we thought we knew has quietly become larger than we imagined.
